My main collegiate goal is to prepare myself for my future and get the education I need to succeed in the profession I choose. I strive and work hard both academically and athletically to achieve the goals I have set. An example of this is challenging myself by taking Honors and AP classes in my academics. On the JV baseball team, I finished by having the top batting average of .484, the modt RBI’s (25), most hits (30), an OBP of .551, and a .613 SLG%, all of this while being the only player to start every game (20). I build relationships on and off the baseball field, meanwhile thriving academically, athletically, and socially. I pride myself in being a natural leader which has allowed me to build relationships with my coaches and teammates. I’m confident and comfortable in trusting my coaches even when I’m put in an unexpected situation, like being asked to drag bunt as a clean up hitter and beating it out for a base hit. It was definitely surprising to me and my teammates but, the coach knew what was best for the team. I am also very keen on being an active member in the community, whether it be in the form of service or participation in school spirit events, I feel it is important for a student/athlete, as myself, to balance his life between academics, athletics, and social life.
