Hello my name is Juan Plascencia and I have been playing baseball since I was 3 years old. I am currently a 16 year old junior at Godinez Fundamental High School in Santa Ana, California. I am right handed and I am a utility player. My main positions are catcher, pitcher and the left side of the infield. During my freshmen year , while on varsity, I had a .233 average, had 14 hits, 9 runs scored and 5 rbi’s. I had a .324 OBP, a .238 SLG and a .607 OPS, I had a 4.15 ERA with 1 win and 4 losses with 22 strikeouts. During my sophomore year, which was shortened due to COVID-19, I also spent that season on varsity; I had a .364 average, with 8 hits, 6 runs scored and 1 RBI in only 8 games. I had a .417 OBP, a .454 SLG and a .872 OPS during my sophomore year. My sophomore year I also had a ERA of 3.65 with 2 wins and 1 loss with 17 strikeouts. I fell in love with the game at a young age because of the way my dad taught me to play it; he taught me to have fun and not to worry about the outcome of the game. I still use that idea but I am always trying to play my heart out every time I step onto that field. My dad always tried to push me to show my talent which is why for all of my life I have been playing up with kids 2 or 3 years older than me. I believe that is how I became the player that I am today. I have always wanted to play baseball at the next level and I am constantly pushing myself to be better than everyone else who is on the field. Thank you in advance for the time you have taken to read and learn about me.
