Kent Yoshida '18 Recruiting Profile

My ultimate goal is to not only become a college student that pursues his goal or career, but also a college athlete. At a young age, I loved every aspect of the game. During my high school career, I made the West High School Varsity team by my sophomore year and became pioneer league champions. As my junior year started, I didn't have the chance to showcase my abilities as much. With that in mind, I practiced my flaws and skills that needed to be worked on, and by end of the summer this year, I finished with 0.531 average in 12 games during the South Bay Summer Baseball League for high school. My last season as a senior is yet to come, but I have a strong desire and the mindset to continue my career in college. I learned to become a better teammate on and off the field, and learned that whatever I truly work hard on cannot be a waste of time. I really don't want to stop playing this beautiful game of baseball, and please understand that I will prosper and commit everything that I can to continue.
