Kyler Hickman '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Kyler Hickman. I am a class of 2022 catcher, third and first baseman from Merrill F. West High School in Tracy California. I fell in love with the game of baseball when I was really young. I have been around the game ever since I could walk and playing on a team since I was three. Growing up, I was told If I wanted something all I have to do is go after it, work for it, and it will come. My family and coaches played a big role in my baseball career constantly pushing me, trying to get me to improve, and teaching me the knowledge they got from playing the game and being around it. Although I play 3 sports at the high school level I am also involved in other extracurricular activities such as the WHS Pack Leadership Program and the FFA Program. Another lesson I was taught in my life is that academics are number one. All of my coaches have always told me, “take care of your business in the classroom so you can play on the field.”
