Zachary Elias '14 Recruiting Profile

My name is Zachary Elias. I am currently attending Yucca Valley High School in Yucca Valley, California. I am graduating in 2014. I am the starting varsity shortstop for our baseball team. Last year I was awarded with All League First Team. Ever since i was five, I was determined to go to college. I would be the first in my family, which is very important to me. Baseball has been a passion since I was 4. Going to college to pursue my education, as well as play baseball, would be a dream come true. My goal in life is to be successful. I want to have a job that I enjoy, as well as a family that I could support. I consider myself a leader. I try my best in the classroom, as well as on the field. If I see a fellow teammate or classmate needing help, I want to be the one to help them succeed. I see myself continuing to be a leader in the future. I currently have a 2.67 GPA that I am not too proud about. I am working hard to raise this by taking summer school classes, as well as regularly attending tutoring. For this past junior year, I had a 3.17 GPA. Still not amazing, but I am determined to work hard in the classroom as much as working hard to play baseball. I am open to any and all colleges. I want to keep all my options open, because one of those could change my life.
