Throughout my high school career I have grown tremendously as a student, athlete, and a person. High school sports have presented me with multiple challenges that taught me what it was like to deal with adversity. Being a part of two different sports teams in high school, football and baseball, I have come to understand exactly what it takes to be a part of a winning team. As team captain of the 2017 spring AHS baseball team I developed many new leadership skills while I helped bring a team with a losing record in the previous season to the state playoffs. Baseball has taught me what it truly means to be part of a brotherhood and I now know that having a good relationship with your teammates is key in becoming a successful program.
The diamond is not the only place however where I have developed my character, in school I have polished my social skills while working in NHS and Student Council as the Student Body President as well as being Head Editor of my school paper. I have seen the value in a quality education as I strive to maintain good grades. I hope to continue a quality education in college and want to earn a degree so that I may be well prepared for the rest of my life. I look forward to possibly utilizing the skills I have learned on a college baseball team and contribute to a programs success.
