Personal Statement
When I became a District Champion as a freshman, that feeling of winning ignited the desire to continue the journey to play in college. However, on that journey I experienced a minor setback. I was involved in a serious accident during homecoming. During recovery I was determined to work hard and return back to the field as soon as possible. My injuries was to keep me out the entire season, but I was able to return to the field within 6 months of the accident. This made me realize what I’m able to accomplish through adversity. The recovery helped me grow as a student and as a athlete. It allowed me to fine tune my life to strictly on school and baseball.
I was blessed to come back and play after only missing two games of season. I learned the meaning of teamwork, dedication, perseverance, sacrifice, and the way to lead a team. I am looking for a college that meets my academic and athletic goals. I know I'm not the only talented athlete, but I have what it takes to be on your roster. With my leadership, work-ethic, and perseverance, I can make a huge impact to your program.
