Personal Statement
I love the game of baseball and want to play for as long as I possibly can. While I am a multi-sport student-athlete, participating in tennis, basketball, lacrosse, and baseball, baseball is my passion. I have learned and benefited from many great lessons and aspects of sports. These, in addition to my family, have made me who I am. I value the family of teammates. As a unit, as friends, we are better together. Being honest, trustworthy, and loyal, even when it’s hard, are most important to me. I make time to help teammates anytime they are down, not just when it’s convenient for me; through thick and thin. I also try to be a leader. I believe that actions speak louder than words - I try through my work ethic, character, and emotions to be an example of perseverance, commitment, and positivity. As part of this, I am dedicated to working hard on and off the field. I have the mantras that I often apply to myself, “Do what you’re supposed to do & MORE!” and “No one is going to work harder”. I give myself really high standards and will work and grind to reach and surpass expectations. When I fall short, I reevaluate, ask for help, reinvest and, without excuses, rededicate myself to get that standard.
