Personal Statement

One thing my dad always told me was to play the game of baseball until someone won't let me, until someone won't take me on their team. I've tried to live up to that as much as a possibly could because of how much I love this game. I want to play for as long as I can. This is one of the reasons you should consider me for a spot on your roster.  I play with my whole heart any and every time I step on the field. I also would never do anything to disrespect the game. If you see me do something that you may think was disrespectful, tell me and I guarantee it'll never happen again. Along with my heart and my attitude, my pitching is what sets me apart. While I lack the velocity to overpower hitters, I have command over my pitches and pitch to contact. I create plays for my defense to make. I keep batters off balance with my off speed and my breaking balls. I don't get hit hard by hitters. But, with a proper training and workout plan, I will reach that next level of dominance as a pitcher. As far as in the field goes, I have a reliable glove and a strong enough arm to make plays. At the plate, I have struggled because I never was given much direction in hitting and I never faced that difficult of pitching until I was thrown into the thick of it. I'm adjusting, but it is a weakness of mine. I also take my academics very, very seriously. They are what enable me to play the game I love so I do whatever I can to make sure I can play.

Thank you.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
