Personal Statement

Thank you for reviewing my profile. I live in Highlands Ranch, Co. and attend Mountain Vista High school, the 2018 Div. 5a state baseball champs. I am a right handed pitcher and a left handed batter. Baseball is my passion, it gives me a great sense of accomplishment and self confidence. Baseball has taught me that you cannot improve in life or sports without dedication and preparation. I enjoy the challenges of performing under pressure. I like to be put in situations where I can test my abilities against the best competition. I enjoy being a good team player and leader. I encourage my teammates to never quit and to always give their best. My goal is to attend college, play baseball at the highest level and achieve academic excellence.

  • Michael has made tremendous strides in his development over the last year, including taking his weight room work ethic to another level. His strength and size have increased dramatically and even during the recent lockdowns, continued to work on his own at home. When he arrived back at our facility after the lockdown, he had jumped 5-6 mph in velocity off the mound and was itching for more. He has lots of upside with his size and continues to add strength and increase his velocity. His fastball has good arm side run which yields lots of poorly hit groundballs and swings and misses. His curveball has good depth and he shows good proficiency with command. He's developing a hard slider which has promise and a changeup, that at times, has good depth and tunnels well with his fastball. Michael has a personality all his own. He is always smiling, joking and have a good time, but also understands when it is time to get serious and work. With his continued development, Michael will be an asset to any organization that he is fortunate enough to be a part of.
