I started playing baseball when I was 6 years old. I love everything about the game, the wins, the losses, and the comradely. Playing baseball has taught me so much about myself. I have learned that I am a very competitive person and someone who if I'm down because of the way a game is going, I can always find a positive outcome from it. I love to win but when we lose it makes me work harder. I have learned that no one can be perfect you can only get better by working harder. During freshman year of high school, I learned that, everyone needs to have a leader. With my team, I have found that this a characteristic that I possess. In baseball, there is always something you can do to improve.
In my personal life, there have been two things in my life that has shown me what's most important. The first, I lost my sister to suicide when I was young. Through the process, I have learned that life situations can either hold you back or make you stronger and that everything in life is fixable. The second, I struggled in school and I couldn't focus in class or on my school work. We learned that I had ADHD. I have worked really hard to overcome the learning difficulties associated with ADHD in order to succeed academically. I now use it as a way to strive through every obstacle that comes into my life by working hard. I have been on Honor Roll since I was in sixth grade. It has always been my dream to play college sports.
My goals for high school is to focus on grades and finish on Honor Roll, baseball and football. My goals for college is work hard, play ball at the collegiate level, to graduate and be able to work in a career I love and I am passionate about.
