Personal Statement
Hello, my name is Justin Olson and I am a RHP and middle infielder from Avon, Connecticut. Thank you for the opportunity to share a little bit about myself. I just finished my junior year at Avon High School where I have maintained a 3.5 GPA in college preparatory and honor classes.
I am just completing my 3rd varsity season as a starter. I was also named Captain this year. I had another great year personally as well as the team having a lot of success. Personally, I was honored to make the CCC All-Conference Team. We also made it to the state semi finals for the fist time in over 40 years. This summer, I am fortunate enough to play for the Avon Senior Legion team as a pitcher and infielder. Our team has a great season going. We won our zone and just won our first best of 3 in the second round. We are moving on this weekend! It proved to me that if I keep working hard I will be able to succeed at the next level.
I am excited to see what the next year holds for me. I feel that I am a leader and I truly enjoy the mental aspect of the game. My goals over the next year are to excel in every game I play, maintain a high GPA and have a positive impact on and off the field. I would love to attend a college that allows me to advance both my academic and athletic careers at the highest possible level.
