Growing up I played a plethora of sports: baseball, soccer, basketball, and lacrosse. No matter the sport, as a player, I have always strived to provide the team with my best performance out on the field and to be the most supportive teammate I can be. Despite being a starter on one of the best travel lacrosse teams in the country, under the winningest high school lacrosse coach in the nation, I chose baseball over lacrosse as my spring sport in 8th grade. Though I truly enjoyed my time playing other sports, I ultimately realized baseball is my true passion and I was ready to specialize in baseball.
Since putting baseball first athletically, I have made tremendous progress, gaining a starting spot on JV and being pulled up to varsity for playoffs sophomore year. I know that I have more to learn and a lot of potential as I continue to grow physically and as a player. I will never regret my choice to pursue baseball, because the sport and my position as a catcher are a great fit for my abilities and personality. I am always encouraging and even-tempered as a teammate. This helps me have a strong bond with my pitchers and the team overall. I believe my intellect and instincts come together on the field and strengthen my performance. Though baseball comes first athletically, academics come first in terms of priorities. I currently have only A's on my transcript and I am striving to keep it that way. I work hard in school and challenge myself, with the majority of classes being honors/AP level. With that being said, I am looking to challenge myself both academically and continue the sport I love in college. I am very teachable and look forward to working under a strong coaching staff in the future.
