Personal Statement
My primary goal is to get a great college education. I want to play college baseball at my highest ability regardless of the collegiate division. I want to excel in the classroom and on the field.
While I live in the Northeast I play baseball year round. If I am not playing or practicing for my High School Team or Travel Team you can find me at my high school taking batting practice or working on my fielding or in my backyard working off the tee. I am coachable, a hard-working team player and I always strive to lead by example.
I am committed to playing college baseball and I am thankful that you have taken the time to look at my profile. I look forward to meeting coaches with hopes that you will find my character and skills a great fit for your team.
Coaches Evaluation:
Jon Thomas - Head Coach BVSA 15u Elite
Hitting- As a Right handed hitter, Liam has shown increasing hitting ability in the 2 seasons I've coached him. He has the potential to put a quality at bat every time he comes to the plate. A line to line type hitter. As he adds size to his profile he can solidify himself as a middle of order hitter.
Fielding- Liam has an exceptional glove at 1B. He has soft hands which helps him on picks in the dirt. He moves around the base very well and can turn the 3-6 DP without any issues. He also has good field awareness in terms of where to go on cutoffs etc.. He's an asset to any team at 1B.
Pitching- As a lefty pitcher Liam shows glimpses of being a exceptional h.s pitcher. When he is on top of his fundamentals he is a terror to hit on the mound. His changeup is his "out" pitch. It has tremendous movement and deception. As he continues to grow physically and mentally I think he has a chance to put it all together and become a viable pitcher that any coach would like to have on his pitching staff.
Liam's talent combined with his tenacity and coach-ability are attributes any coach would like to have. He works well with his teammates and has a high IQ. Which will help him stay mentally tough through adversity on the field.
