Personal Statement
I am a 17 year old student athlete from Fairfield, CT. Baseball is a passion of mine. I have enjoyed experiencing baseball for as long as I can remember. Little League, AAU, and high school baseball have afforded me many great playing opportunities and lasting friendships….and many League Titles, 2 CT District 2 Titles, 2 Ct State championships, an appearance in the New England Regional Championship, and multiple Travel Tournament wins along the way. In the Summer of 2017 my Connecticut Wolfpack team won the Diamond Nation World Series, and I was named the tournament MVP. Even our family vacations almost always include baseball, whether it is attending a Major or Minor League game, watching Collegiate Summer Baseball on Cape Cod, visiting Cooperstown, NY, or taking a Stadium tour and I wouldn’t like it any other way.
I have worked extremely hard challenging myself on the field, in training facilities, and in the classroom over the years, to ensure I am always able to perform at my personal best. I strive to be the best and most coachable player I can be, as well as a respected teammate and student. I am a well-rounded player, with strong offensive and defensive skills, and pride myself on my hustle and baseball acumen. As a catcher and a hitter I try to lead my team by example. I am driven and have a good work ethic, constantly reflecting on my performance and contributions to the team. Helping to lead my team to multiple State Tournament wins and being rewarded with the honors of All FCIAC -East and First-Team All FCIAC after my sophomore and junior high school seasons, continues to motivate me every day. I greatly look forward to continuing to set and achieve individual and collective team goals-I have many. In the classroom, I challenge myself with AP and honors classes and work hard to achieve and maintain high grades. Off the field and outside the classroom, I have enjoyed assisting with Unified Sports and umping Little League games.
I have many more things I want to accomplish during my High School years, but do not want to stop there. I also have a strong desire to play baseball at the highest collegiate level possible, while finding a school that matches my academic interests as well.
