Personal Statement
I am a senior at Cape Henlopen High School in Lewes, Delaware. I am a varsity athlete for both baseball and soccer. I’ve played baseball since I was 5 years old and I have been in love with it ever since. I have also played travel baseball since I was eight. I love the sport and enjoy being active.
Baseball is a huge part of me as a person. Baseball has taught me life skills such as patience, goal setting, situational thinking and perseverance. I’ve always been very determined and work well with my teammates. I go to the gym everyday and am always working on something to enhance my baseball skills because there’s always room for improvement.
My education is just as important to me. I’ve always maintained good grades. I am an honors student and take some AP classes. I have a current 3.5 gpa and am a member of the National Honors Society. I have earned several academic achievement awards in math and recently earned the an academic excellence award in Engineering. I also earned first place in the State of Delaware for Sports Management and Advertising through our DECA club. I competed nationally in Florida. I have volunteered in several venues to offer aid in the community.
I would like to pursue architectural engineering or possibly civil engineering or something in the business realm. I would love to further my education and play baseball.
