William Simeone '18 Recruiting Profile

 Hello, my name is William Simeone. I am 2017 graduate of IMG Academy in Bradenton, FL and will be attending college in the fall of 2018. My highlights at IMG include a GPA of 3.81 and being named IMG's most improved pitcher for the 2016-17 school year. I am currently a postgrad taking two online courses and training six days a week with Eric Cressey in Hudson, Ma. and will return to IMG in January for the spring baseball season. My pitches include a fastball, curveball, 2 seam changeup, and I’m also now working on a sinker.

As a 6'8" athlete, my greatest challenges have been both building strength and developing athleticism. I’ve worked diligently to develop both and at 225 lbs, I am now both stronger and more athletic than I was when I ended my senior year at 205 lbs. On the field, I am generally positive and uplifting to my teammates.

My two older sisters, Regan (24) and Jacqueline (21), both influenced me greatly. Regan was an Academic All American golfer at Boston College and Jacqueline is a captain of the Williams College soccer team. They taught me the importance of balancing both academic and athletic demands, while baseball has taught me the importance of hard work and respect.

I consider myself to be an outgoing and adventurous person (moving to IMG on my own to pursue baseball.) I am open to attending college most anywhere as I appreciate change and welcome new environments. My ideal college would offer challenging academics, rigorous baseball training and competition, and an approachable and effective coaching staff.
