Personal Statement
When I moved into my dorm at IMG Academy sophomore year at the age of 15, I had no idea what I’d learn and discover internally. The independence and responsibility associated with living across the country shaped me into a much stronger person. My passion and love for baseball motivated my move from a small school in Ohio to a national stage in Florida. While my development on the baseball field was rapid and still is, so was my development as a friend, brother, and student.
My capacity for leadership has also grown on and off the diamond. I always strive to put the team first and to do my absolute best every day regardless of the task. While I avidly work to develop my physical abilities, I am also a great student and devote time to giving back to the community. I am an active member of the National Honor Society and frequently volunteer at a local food pantry when home in Columbus, Ohio. I pride myself on always choosing kindness and motivating my friends to be their best. I hope to continue to lead at the next level wherever I best fit academically and athletically.
