I continue to shape my character from my Christian faith and my family is very important to me. Growing up in Southwest Florida, I began playing competitive baseball at an early age and love the game! The physical and especially the mental requirements of competing in baseball have helped me succeed in other areas of my life as well. The game has taught me the importance of remaining focused and under control during play. Baseball has also shown me how to persevere when challenges inevitably arise. I have contributed to the success of several (higher-aged) travel teams over the years in all aspects of the game.
Classroom success is key to me and I hold myself to a 3.0 grade average threshold. I am studying for my SAT/ACT tests which I’m taking this school year. I plan to major in technology and/or architecture which both come natural to me. I’ve grown quickly over the last two years (and in the early stages of that growth) I had a temporary growth plate issue in my shoulder. Yet, I completed successful physical therapy and have since established a solid overall strengthening program. My throwing and hitting power and speed continues to increase.
I always respect and appreciate good coaching and enjoy competing with my teammates. I have excellent eye hand coordination, fast reflexes and I’m a good contact hitter. Playing all outfield positions and stealing hits motivate me. I look forward to joining a college program that fits me both academically and athletically.
