Personal Statement
My sophomore summer was the best part of my high school career. I started pitching the best I’ve ever pitched and hitting the best I’ve ever hit. But it wasn’t just my baseball career that made that summer the best. I started doing much better academically. Getting straight A’s, taking any online classes I could to raise my GPA, and being more involved in the community. My sophomore year we made it to the district finals and lost to our biggest rival school. Losing to them made me re-evaluate myself and I realized where I needed to be academically and athletically to be able to move on and play competitively at the next level. Losing Districts made me work harder, study harder and remain focused to be the best student-athlete I could be. Looking at myself over the past couple years has showed me that I have the drive, the competitiveness and ability to play at the next level.
