Jacob Franklin '17 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Jacob Franklin, I play for Mainland High School in Daytona Beach, FL. I am, 5' 10" - 165 lbs. Senior 17 years old.  I pitch right and hit right. I throw between 78 and 85 mph. My curveball, Change up, and slider are my favorite. I enjoy throwing the batter off. My grandpa has been my biggest influence in my life. He has supported me and guided me throughout my life. Him and my mom are my biggest fans. I started playing baseball at the young age of 5. I have always played up due to the speed of my pitches and strength. Coaches didn't want anyone to get hurt. I was 6 years old when they told me that. My grandpa played baseball in his younger years so I guess it's in my blood. I love the game and respect the game. I have learned so much about myself over the years. I'm extremely competitive in a fun way and as much as I want every play to be perfect, it may not be. So keeping my head in the game and being a team leader is more important.. My dream is to play ball for a college while obtaining a great education.
