The game of baseball has been a part of my life since I was 6 years old. It is not just a sport that I enjoy playing, but it is a game of life. Although I may have a really bad day, the six or seven innings on the baseball field give me the opportunity to focus on my goals and forget all of my troubles. Playing on a team has taught me the importance of respect for others, and also how to work in a group setting. The sense of community that comes with being on a team has instilled in me a faith in people. I value the importance of hard work and dedication that this game has taught me, and I use these lessons on and off the field. I aim to become the best teammate I can be, and I am confident that these leadership skills will stay with me in whatever I decide to do in the future.
