Personal Statement
My name is Isaiah Brandt. I am a senior at Boca Ciega High School in St. Petersburg Florida. I am a Prospect Wire 1 star recruit, and as a junior I received 1st team All Pinellas County Center Fielder, and won the Gold Glove award for my high school team. I run a 6.9- 60 yard dash and have a 3.2 GPA. I have been playing baseball since I was 5. When I am on the field I am at peace. I can forget any problems that I am having and just focus on playing the game that I love. On the field, I honestly feel that nobody plays harder then me. I put my body on the line for every play I have the opportunity to and will do whatever it takes for my team to win. I was told by former Major League Baseball player Bo Bichette that I had one of the greatest catches he has ever seen in his life during a high school game last season. I am very competitive and I do not like to lose. I will come ready to work 7 days a week. I love to have fun when I am playing the game, but also know when it’s time to be serious. Once I step onto that field and the game starts I am locked in and ready to win at all costs. I have played travel baseball for the Florida Gulf Coast Prospects for the past 3 years. We are coached by former Major League Baseball player Seth McClung. He has taught me the fundamentals as well as skills that I never would have imagined learning, and has really helped me improve my game all around.
