I became interested in baseball from the first time I stepped on a ball field at six years old. In the early years of playing I found myself on teams where dads were playing favorites, where I had to sit the bench a number of times. As time rolled on, I put in extra effort and gave a hundred and ten percent at every practice and game to ensure that I was the best player to take the role of a position. I was in an unforgiving system where there was no room for error, and any mistake would quickly put me on the bench once again. This upbringing helped me understand the amount of motivation and persistence required to become a notable baseball player, and I made sure that these attributes are tied into a reputation of integrity. With my parents as my moral compass and my biggest fans, I have lived out these principles and reached my goal of starting on the varsity team in high school as a freshman.
I have learned many things about myself while playing baseball. I thrive in high competitive situations, I have great work ethics and good moral values, and I will carry these traits with me through college and throughout life. My goal is to play baseball in college while earning my degree and capitalize on every opportunity that comes my way.
