Sebastian Ortiz-Sepulveda '22 Recruiting Profile

Being selected for 3rd Team All-First Coast as a freshman has been the highlight of my high school career so far. Seeing all the people that I had competed against on the field at the All-First Coast Best of Preps banquet was indeed an eye-opener. It reminded me that all these people from different sports had the same common goal in mind. That was to be the best in their sport. This notion and the first-hand presence of all the athletes helped me re-focus my aspirations that I truly wanted to be a better baseball player that could play at the next level.

I was fortunate enough to be on a varsity baseball team with other great athletes who love to compete.   My coaches taught me a lot of new skills that I now use on any team that I play for. Not only have they taught the skills that I can use on the diamond, but they also taught me the personal skills that I implement in my everyday life. As a baseball player, I am looking for a school that has an outstanding academic program and also a prominent baseball program. I believe that it is not only talent that makes a successful baseball program, but also factors such as character, leadership, teamwork, and tenacity that contributes to a program's success.
