Reese Miles 2018 ...Personal Statement
Hello, my name is Reese Miles. I'm a utility player in the graduating class of 2018. I attend Pinellas Park High School in Largo Florida. I have played all 9 positions of the field for high school as well as showcase travel baseball - TBSA Patriots. I have experience behind the plate with a pop time of 2.01 - 2.05. I have a lot of time in the middle infield, outfield and have played 1st and 3rd. I am also a starting pitcher. I have 3 pitches, working on a 4th. My fastball sits 84-86 and I have topped out at 89-90. Even though I have experience everywhere, I feel my strongest positions are pitcher, MIF, and OF, where I can utilize my arm and my speed. I love the game of baseball and I strive to get better everyday on and off the field. Not only am I a high school student, I am a student of the game of baseball.

- Invitation only to National Team Members. 12/27/2016 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 2 Reese is a hard working, speedy and athletic OF who will graduate in 2018. In the outfield, he read the ball off the bat well, took efficient angles to the ball and fielded out in front of his body cleanly. Arm played well for the position, as his throws were accurate and made with a clean exchange and quick release from the time he fielded to the time he came up to throw. Offensively, he showed good control of his bat and a very good knowledge of the strike zone, as he was very tough to strike out (1 k in 8 plate appearances). Stride/load were on time and consistent, hands worked on a direct path to the ball after load. Reese at times would change his hitting mechanics based off the location of a pitch; working to keep the same swing but just meet the ball at different contact points will help Reese really progress his game at the plate. Overall, Reese is a high ceiling outfielder who shows great talent in this game, and with continued hard work will be on the radar of collegiate coaches in his next few years. Also stepped in to pitch and threw really well. Topped out at 84 MPH with late life.
