Personal Statement

I am interested in attending a college/university that gives me the opportunity to play baseball while pursuing a degree in criminal justice. I am a relentless worker both on and off the field who never gets in trouble. I believe in demonstrating respect and discipline at all times. I work very well with others and I am always trying to learn something new, particularly through constructive criticism. I am very good at applying lessons immediately. This makes me an ideal fit for any collegiate baseball program. Athletically, I take pride in my speed, power and ability to hit the baseball consistently. I am a very disciplined hitter. In the outfield, I use my speed and judgment to track down balls in play quickly and easily.

  • Outfield evaluation: Projects as CF at the next level with foot speed. Got up to full speed very quickly. Attacked the baseball hard and broke down in good position to field the ball out front and make accurate throw to bases. Did really nice job staying low while fielding the baseball and made a clean transfer to get the ball out very quickly. Continue to add arm strength. Hard working player who puts his head down and does things the right way. Good kid to have in your program. Hitting Evaluation: Athletic stance in the box with very short compact swing. No wasted movements in the box. Showed great ability to find the barrel on each pitch both on the inner and outer half. Good approach going with the pitch. Threw hands at the ball and stayed smooth throughout the swing. Stayed strong on his back side transferring all his energy into the ball at contact. Continue to add strength and the pop will come. Gap to gap hitter who can spray the ball all over the field. Would be able to work the count and be a tough out. Hustled on and off the field. Respectful young man who plays the game the right way. Wont have to worry about any off field issues either. Stayed after camp to catch for another camper.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
