Starting young and growing up in a family of true competitors, I had a strong feel for sports in general. I grew to like baseball more and I felt as if I was at home in the sport. I have a deep passion for baseball and I consider myself talented in all aspects of the game. I enjoy contributing in a leadership role to a team and helping young stars as I have on the previous teams. I love the sport and most of all I love competing so I can't wait to get into the college level of play. My goals for college are not just for the sports aspect, as I aspire to become a biomedical engineer and look forward to getting my masters or even my doctorate in this field. I have a 3.6-3.7 GPA and it's still rising as I continue through my sophomore year. Since my Freshman year and into my Sophomore year, I have been assigned Honors courses. For my Junior year I will again be taking Honors courses as well as an AP course in Physics. I belong to the school's STEM academy.
Physically, my parents have provided me with professional strength training coach Humberto Perez (known by many pro baseball players, whom visit him around December and through the start of Spring training camp). I got a chance to meet with Manny Machado 3rd base Orioles. We had great discussion regarding my development and what I need to do. My growth rate was a problem for me early on in my teenage years. I had strong throwing and hitting but running was an area I needed to work on....so this program was coordinated with my Orthopedic doctor and I am now just about done with growth and feel great and beginning to show significant muscular development. My throwing from 3rd to first is really good (75 to 80 mph), my running has quadruple in speed and agility, and my hitting has also greatly improved. I joined the school's soccer team to elevate my running and cardiovascular strength. I made the Varsity in both Freshman and Sophomore. I did not try out for the school's baseball team because of issues with the Manager. His style of managing the team is based upon fear of failure rather than promoting success, deception and imposing demands on you to become something you did not want to do . My dad did not like his demeanor and pull me out and found some recreational leagues to continue my muscle memory. I am now in the last recreational/competitive league and will move forward with a local travel team when we find one that keeps me competitive. My dad and I have looked into a baseball club, highly recommended by my strength coach. If I make it, I will be traveling to Jupiter Florida for a 3 day tournament play in August and then later on in West Palm Beach; at which many schools will be there scouting for prospective players. Its intense but well worth the try.
Hopefully, soon my dad will have time from his busy schedule, to upload a video of my 3rd base skills, running speed, hitting and throws to first base. When this happens I will remove this paragraph. Hopefully, this will give you an idea of how I play the sport.
Thank you
