Christian Birkett '18 Recruiting Profile

For 18 years of my life I have grown to love a sport that I can never stop thinking about. A sport thats taught me the ultimate ways of how to be successful and overcoming obstacles.  Baseball to some is a hobby, to me its second nature, its my sixth sense. Baseball however, hadn't come easy to me. With the unsuccessful effort of only making Jv of my baseball program my freshman year, I was determined to succeed the following year. One year later (my sophomore year) I made my Varsity team and started at ss every game.  But because it only being my first year playing, I had a batting average of .130. With determination in my veins I worked hard over the off season and my junior year I hit .380. as well as moving to the lead off batter. A true testimony to: with hard work you can achieve anything, I am and always will be willing to change for the better of the whole, and for that reason I feel I would be the best candidate for any obstacle and challenge I must face.
