Personal Statement
My desire to play baseball in college became apparant just as I was entering high school. Receiving instruction from an array of coaches, managers, former professional players and trainers who've played for teams such as Oregan State, University of FLorida, Florida State University and the Yankees organization has helped shape me into the player that I am today. I constantly strive to better my skills every day so that I can compete at the highest level possible and be a valuable asset to any team. Being a team player and a leader on and off the diamond is my ultimate goal.
Hard work and dedication for this sport that I love is not the only thing that I am passionate about. My academic success plays a big part in my future goals. I am enrolled in the Cambridge AICE Program and intend to graduate with my four year diploma as well as the AICE diploma which will award a full bright futures scholarship. My interests are to study Engineering and Business.
I started playing baseball when I was 5 years old and play second base and shortstop. My strengths are -- great contact hitter that can hit all parts of the field, aggressive base runner with above average speed, strong knowledge of the game and as my coaches have told me, I'm easy to coach.
Having the opportunity to be a part of an excellent college team that can not only allow me to continue to play the game that I truly love, but could also further my education - would be an unsurpassable life experience for me.
