Hi, my name is Jeremiah Morris. Currently, I am a junior at Osceola Fundamental High School in Seminole, Florida. I play on the Varsity team there as well as a local travel team called Empire. I was born on June 8, 2003 in St. Petersburg, Florida. My present height and weight are 6’1”, 205 lbs. My primary position is First Base, but I also play Third Base and Pitch. Since I am a strong batter, last Summer my batting average was .450, my Varsity coach also uses me as a DH. I throw and bat right-handed. I have been playing baseball since age 5 and I absolutely love to play this game. I have the upmost respect for the many coaches who have taught me the mental and physical components of this game. I know without them I wouldn't be the player that I am today, but I also know that there is still a lot more for me to learn. Even though baseball is my first love, I also enjoy the game of football. When I am not playing sports or not in school, I enjoy working out and spending time with my friends and family, as well as watching movies or Sports on TV. I try to do something related to baseball every day whether it is practicing on the batting tee, lifting weights, or sprinting. I utilize my time well so I that don’t get easily burned out. I even have had private batting and pitching coaches for the past 6 years which has really helped to improve my level of play. My parents have always been very positive and totally supports my desire to play this game. When it comes to college, I would like to major in Sports Journalism; I really love the game of baseball, whether I am on or off the field. In conclusion, I would like to assure the college coaches interested in me that I am a hard-working, committed, yet humbled player. My goal is to be a better student and baseball player every day, as well as a better person overall. Growing up in this game, coaches have always enjoyed having me on their team not only because I am easy to instruct, but I am a team player and open to any constructive criticism.
Respectfully Submitted,
Jeremiah Morris
