Personal Statement
I am a 6'1 athlete that has just graduated in May'2018 from Alonso High School in Tampa, Florida. I played on the varsity baseball team all 4 years of high school. This year I was the starting catcher for Alonso and caught in all but 4 games including district semifinals, finals, and regional quarterfinals. This year I also received Alonso's Gold Glove Award with a .991 fielding percentage while throwing out 45% (13 out of 29) of stolen base attempts. I am open to any college in any part of the country that is both a good school academically (where I can pursue the field of criminal justice) and has a competitive baseball program. I am a fiercely competitive and a serious ballplayer who will sacrifice anything to help my team win. I love when the game is on the line as that is when I play my best. I hit for average and power to all fields. Throughout high school my main starting positions have been catcher, 3B, and pitcher. I have also played 2B, 1B, and OF. I understand all rotation keys from all positions. I also played 2 seasons (freshman & sophomore year) of JV football where I was the starting quarterback and played some snaps at receiver as well. I feel my athleticism and my attitude make me a good candidate to play baseball at the college level.
