Zander Beare '22 Recruiting Profile

My college goals can be simplified by stating that I wish to have an in-depth math and science background.  I am interested in Engineering and have been researching majors in Marine Engineering or Biomedical Engineering.  My mom is a Pediatrician and my dad is a Violent Crimes Detective.  Both of my parents are college graduates who played collegiate sports and have encouraged me to explore every option; which I am still doing.  I feel that I am a good candidate for your team because I am a team player who competes at the highest level, whether athletically or academically.  I'm not sure I am too different from other baseball recruits because we all have aspirations of playing collegiate baseball.   I was fortunate to be raised in a baseball family, so I have been taught to play the game hard but also to remain humble along the way; respecting every player and aspect of the game. The team and my teammates will always come first over my individual gains.  In regards to academics, I strive for academic primacy, achieving maximum benefit from each course.  My goal is to obtain a degree in my preferred field from my Alma Mater and enter the work force after graduation; if baseball is no longer an option.  In the end, I believe my character will always be based on family and core values instilled by my parents.  I will always give 100% in whatever it is that I do and I will refuse to waiver when it comes to right and wrong.
