Andrew (AJ) Rawicz '23 Recruiting Profile

Being involved in baseball most of my life has provided me invaluable experience that I can apply to other facets of my life.  Over the years I have achieved many successes (team success/championships, great stats) in my baseball career progression but have also faced many failures, whether it is not making a cut for a team, having a poor showcase, or perhaps limited playing time.  Facing the pain and disappointment of these challenges has help drive my motivation to work harder to overcome this adversity and has not deterred me from my goal of playing the sport I love on a high school and collegiate level.  My freshman year I went from sitting on the bench to starting by continuing to work hard and make the most of my opportunities.  I found that I can also apply this approach to academics or whatever life challenges may present themselves.  I am hoping to achieve graduating high school in the top 10% of my class and focus on a career that will hopefully keep me involved in some way with the sport of baseball.  Although I continue to work on improving my physical skills daily, I believe I bring a deep understanding and situational awareness of the game that, along with my strong academic background, provides me an advantage to my competitors and would be a great asset to any collegiate program.
