Ethan Guthas '21 Recruiting Profile

I have had a passion for baseball since I could swing a bat. I have been very fortunate to have coaches that have poured into me during my athletic career. I grew the most in my baseball career during my freshman and sophomore year when I was knocked out of the playoffs both years by the same team. That feeling of disappointment showed me that if I wanted to be the best and compete at a high level in college I would have to continue to grow my skills and work harder. I learned the value of details and listened to small pieces of advice that coaches would give me along the way. Being a three sport athlete has helped me learn how important details are, in everything you do and they matter, even in the classroom. These experiences have shown me that I know I have what it takes to compete at the college level and I am a teammate that is willing to pay attention to small details that will continue to help me grow in whatever my role may be.  I look forward to being able to make an impact on your program.
