I love to play baseball every free chance I get! Whenever I am not on the field, I am doing something baseball related. I go to a new charter school, where I have been able to be part of starting the athletics programs. My team mates and I have built this program through 3 coaching changes in 5 years to be able to make the Sweet 16 last year, my junior year. We are still a very young team and I have enjoyed being part of building the program. I am proud to have stepped up and been a leader on this team since it started- many of us having played together since 7th grade, or earlier. I have earned the respect of the players on my team. I have great leadership abilities and will do whatever it takes and play wherever I'm needed to help my team win. Last year there was not a position that I didn't play! I have earned All Region as well as Best Offensive and Best Defensive Player of the Year.
When I am not playing baseball, I am starting as a Varsity Basketball player. Of course, hitting the books hard is required as this charter school is an academically challenging school with high expectations. I am proud to say I have earned a 3.40 GPA after 3 years.
I have had a dream to play baseball in college for some years now. I am interested in becoming a firefighter and would like to study Fire Science if possible, in either a 2 year or 4 year program. As a result of going to a very challenging High School, I am learning how to balance my time, how to study, and how to be a great student athlete. I am open geographically to colleges where I can find the best fit, be a contributor, and enjoy playing the game I love.
