Personal Statement
Playing college baseball is very important to me. I am passionate about the game and I feel my strong work ethic will help me to continue to improve my game and make strong contributions to my team. I have experienced adversity with injuries in the past that made me work even harder than I ever did to rehab and get back in the game, which I did. If I was average in my work ethic or love for the game it would have been easier to quit, but I refused.
I understand the importance of being a good student-athlete, and not just an athlete. After a heavier than average course load freshman year, due to a scheduling error that could not be reversed, I worked hard to bring my GPA up to a 3.1. I continue to work at improving it during my current year as a senior.
Last but not least, I want to be part of a team that is coachable with big goals and competes hard to get there. Baseball is more than a game to me and I look forward to playing at the next level!
Sincerely,
Lance Beaudry
