Dylan Wright '20 Recruiting Profile

My mom, dad, brother, and little league coaches influenced me to be the player I am today.  The first baseball game I went to was my brother’s.  I was three years old.  He had a teammate named Dylan.  His coach yelled “Go Dylan Go!”  And I took off running right onto the field, running every base.  I haven’t stopped running yet.  This how I got introduced to baseball.

Over the past 15 years, I’ve learned to be dedicated to the sport.  I have to work hard every day to get better.  I have also learned you need to have teamwork to succeed at the game.  I have had disappointments and I have had victories, but both of these have helped me grow into the determined player I am today.  

My academic goals in high school are to graduate with honors and to hold a GPA of 3.5 or higher.  In college I want to study Education and become a teacher.    

Finally, I have a lot of high energy on the field and in the dugout to keep my team up.  I have an amazing glove, I can track the ball very well in the air and off the bat.  I have solid batting contact with a little power on the backside.  I am a coachable athlete who is ready to play baseball at the next level.
