Personal Statement
The people who have influenced me in my life are my parents. My parents have influenced every major decision that I've faced throughout my life. They've showed me the important things in life and informed me about the decision to come. The most influential person in my baseball career is one of my current coaches. He's taught me a lot about the mental side of baseball and how to approach certain situations as a catcher, since he is one himself trying to achieve his dream in the MLB. Around the age of eight and nine, I was playing a lot of different sports, like baseball, football, basketball, tennis, and golf. My friends were on this baseball team for one of our local parks and wanted me to play with them. Since then, I've enjoyed every moment of playing with them and dropped playing these other sports competitively to focus on baseball. Throughout my baseball career, I've learned about myself how focused and dedicated I am about this sport in order to achieve my goals. I have also noticed how important academics are while playing a sport. My academic goal for high school is to maintain the 100 GPA I've already achieved as well as improve my ACT score. My academic goals for college is to study in engineering. The academic and athletic decisions up to today have seen perfect, and I have no regrets about any of those decisions I've made.
