Jackson "Garrett" Miller '20 Recruiting Profile

I started playing baseball at five years old, but had a ball in my hand the minute I could walk. Over the years I have played all over the southeast, against some of the best teams in the USA and Puerto Rico. I have experienced every possible emotion during moments of enjoyment, heartbreak, indescribable wins and losses, and built life long relationships with coaches, fellow teammates and opponents along the way. Playing at the collegiate level has always been my dream and I’m excited to go through the process.

My parents have always stressed that grades come before baseball. Thanks to them, I learned at a very early age to work hard in the classroom, developing a strong work ethic that has helped me earn and maintain a high GPA. That work ethic has also helped me on the field, in my part time job, as well as my responsibilities to my family at home. My dream is that my passion and abilities in baseball will pay for my college education. I'm not afraid of long days/nights, blood, sweat and tears because I know it only makes me a better man, both on and off the field.
