I, Taj Vera Cruz have one goal. I want to be the best baseball player who ever played the game. My heroes I look up to are Michael Jordan and Derek Jeter, I look up to them because they both had one thing in common. In their stories to success they didn't have the talent but they had the hunger to become better than those who had the talent. I can admit that I'm not very talented and actually quit baseball for 5 years but something that never left me was my urge to be the best at what I do. When I came back to baseball from quitting, my junior year of high school was terrible, I had a weak arm that would get sore from every practice and I couldn't hit the ball to save my life, in all honesty I felt like quitting baseball again. But I'm so glad I didn't because even though I was struggling I was still able to get an offer from a small community college in Washington and now I'm working towards my fullest potential. I know without a doubt in my mind that I would fit perfectly into any baseball program because no matter how much times I fail, I won't ever stop trying until I get it right.
