Personal Statement
I grew up in a sports oriented family and naturally, competition is in my blood. I want to win at everything I do, whether its a baseball game or a basketball pickup game with my friends. My drive to compete has gotten me to where I am today because it has allowed me to stand out from the rest and show my talent. By starting this sport at a very young age, it allowed me to learn what it takes to become the best there is. I learned to sacrifice things that would seem fun now to be able to achieve my goals in the future such as playing college ball.
Along with sacrifice, I learned four basic traits that I continue to believe in. Servant's Heart, passion, character, and work ethic. This "life style" if you will, has made the into the person I am today. It has taught me how to treat the game, understand the process that comes with it, and what to do when failure knocks you down.
