When I was 4 years old I got to go to my first MLB Kansas City Royals game and sat as I watched all 9 innings and there I feel in love with baseball.
Everyday I would throw a baseball with my dad and he taught me to get better and the heart of my mom telling me never give up you got talent is why I have the drive I have today. I met Jon Buck ( catcher for the Royals) when I was 5 and he said, "don't give up on something that makes you happy." That stuck with me.
As a student in school I work extra hard even though it hasn't come easy for me after I got a seizure and it almost killed me when I was little. I have always worked hard to accomplish the next goal and make sure to be the good student for my teachers and classmates around me and lead by example.
On the field is were I know my hard work pays off. I am coachable and like to learn more from others that love the game as much as I do.
I want to attend a college that wants to help me be successful in the classroom, on the field, and in society. I want to be a roll model to the ones out there that have worked so hard that it doesn't come easy to them but to know that it will if you push yourself and believe.
