Personal Statement
My high school in Chicago teaches us to have high goals for our college experiences, so I value a solid college degree. What I’ll learn in the classroom will help me to think and solve problems in whatever field I end up in. The high school baseball and basketball teams that I play on compete in the Chicago Catholic League against many very tough opponents, so we focus on controlling what we can and being smart about what’s important.
I realize how special it is to play college baseball. I watch it on TV and go to games. I can see not only the skills but how much the players love being part of a team. On and off the field my success will depend on the amount of work that I put into it. I’d like to end up at a school that can provide a well rounded college experience that can be a great stepping stone to life after baseball.
