My name is JP Gainer and all that I have cared about since I can remember is being able to play college baseball. Growing up I played multiple sports(football, basketball, volleyball), but none of them made me feel like I did when I stepped out onto the diamond.
I love every aspect of the game of baseball but my true passion is being on the mound and now it is the only thing that I focus on. I love the art of pitching. I spend my days working on mechanics, velocity, pitch development and location, mental focus, and strength training. I possess a positive attitude and a dedicated work ethic which would be a benefit to any program. Teamwork and sportsmanship are also important skills that I possess and I enjoy being part of team and working together as a unit.
When I am not concentrating on baseball I am focusing on my academics. Education is extremely important to me. Keeping my 4.6 weighted GPA in my Honors and AP classes takes discipline and work. I have learned the balance between academics and athletics, and I know how to prioritize them both.
My goal is to play! I want to attend a college that is a good fit for me athletically and academically. I want to be a part of a college program where I can step on the diamond and be a part of a team working for the win.
