Personal Statement

My name is Chris Thilman, and I'm a senior who attends Collinsville High School in Collinsville, Illinois. When I started playing, I fell in love with the game of baseball. Ever since I was a young kid playing in my local rec-league I've had the dream of playing baseball at a professional level. In the classroom, I've maintained a weighted GPA of 4.26 and posted an SAT composite score of 1350. Personally, I'd like to prioritize my education over athletics. I have always been a math and science kid who likes numbers and statistics. My passion for the game has pushed me to be a 3-year varsity starter at my high school, and I'm only looking to get better. Additionally, I've had the opportunity to play with multiple elite travel programs in national-level tournaments across the states. Over the past couple of seasons, I've recognized the amount of work, effort, and drive needed to play at a collegiate level. I'm 100% ready to put in that work and get myself where I want and need to be with the help of some great coaches. I promise to bring a high level of dedication, leadership, and work ethic to any program I go to.
