Personal Statement
Update:
I was informed today by the varsity baseball coach at my HS that I will not be rostered on the varsity team. Reasons at this time are unclear but with my command at the best it's been and top velocity FB at 91 at a recent Perfect Game showcase my talent is there as well as being coachable. Please reach out to my pitching coordinator Ty Marotz with Nike Phenom Crystal Lake for information moving forward. My baseball career will not be sidelined by this event, I will be continuing my athletic and academic career at Frontier CC.
My dream is that i would like the opportunity to play baseball at a highly respected college that places an emphasis on academics as well as baseball.
Although baseball is my passion I also understand the importance of academics as part of preparing for my future. I work hard at everything I do and I do my best to make my grades a priority. I have an IEP for comprehension but I do not let that slow me down, in fact I use that to try to make myself better.
I am very receptive to coaching. If a coach finds a flaw in my delivery, I work hard to adjust to make the changes. I am always looking to get better as a student, baseball player and as a person.
As the son of a Marine Corps combat veteran I understand the sacrifice that my father has given to allow me to follow my dreams.
