I am a 5’9”, 170lb. catcher from Davis, IL and will graduate in the 2019 class from Dakota High School. I come from a very small rural town in Northern Illinois. With my focus being on baseball I hope to change Dakota High School to be known for its competitive baseball program. I have played varsity baseball since my freshman year and I started every game at either catcher or outfielder. In the 2016 season, I helped our team make it to the sectional finals, the farthest a baseball team at my high school has ever gotten before.
I also play football, I am a running back and a corner back on defense. I wrestled my freshman year but decided to concentrate on my grades and baseball this offseason.
Ideally, I would like to be at a medium to large size school and I am open to pretty much any location. I am looking for a school in a city that would have the right balance between the classroom and the field. I would like to be at a nice school with more of a city feel and a great atmosphere.
I am a dedicated, hard-working athlete both on and off the field. Many nights after school I will come home and hit off of a tee and work on my swing in a mirror when I cannot be outside. I regularly see a hitting coach to keep my swing in tune. I am not only a hard-working athlete but a hard-working student too. I have been working very hard in the classroom and at home on my homework to get good grades. Grades come first.
I started playing t-ball when I was four years old and I have loved the game of baseball ever since. I have played on travel summer teams since I was ten years old, none of them were competitive until I joined the Rockford Big Dogs at age fourteen. It was a great experience to go from several years of teams who were not good at all to a team that either won every tournament or placed very high in every tournament.
My goal is to play college baseball at a high and very competitive level. I want to be at a good school that will give me a good education and be very competitive on the field.
