Mason Taylor '20 Recruiting Profile

Since I was 5 years old, baseball has been everything to me. I've changed schools, houses, friends, but baseball has never changed. My name is Mason Taylor. I am currently a senior at Downers Grove South HS in Downers Grove, IL. I am 6’1, 250 1B/3B and I bat left and throw right. The past two years I have batted over .400 in club ball with 5 homers and am currently batting over .300 this fall ball season. The one thing you should know about me is that I never give up. All my life I have experienced bumps in the road, but I have never backed down. During my high school years,  I experienced severe anxiety and depression which stunted my grades. The one thing stable through my life was my love and determination for baseball, and I want to do it at the next level. If you talk to my coaches, you will hear that I have a strong work ethic, I’m a good teammate, and I do my job. All I need is a chance.
