I have been playing baseball since the age of 5 and grew to love it more each and every year. The harder the competition, the more I’ve enjoyed it. I feel I grew most as an athlete my sophomore year playing for my high school team and then playing with the Illinois (formerly Mizuno) Braves in the summer. We faced very hard competition which allowed me to grow as a person and develop relationships while increasing my skills on the field. I took this and was able to really contribute and be a leader my junior year.
I was captain for both baseball and basketball team my junior year which developed my leadership skills while still allowing me to focus on my team building work ethic. I am looking for a program that will be a good fit for me athletically as well as academically. I will strive to contribute to the team and be an asset in the locker room, dugout, batting lineup and on the field. I believe I can compete for a college team and be a leader on and off the field.
